Healing Arts Open House in Troy

 In Events
Come join us for a healing arts open house on Saturday September 14th, 10AM – 2PM for free sessions of Thai Massage and Sound Healing. Stop in before, or after a class, or just on your way from the Farmer’s Market for sessions, treats, and to meet our healing arts practitioners, Andrea Williams and Sierra Archer.  You can sign up for individual sessions on-site Saturday morning.

Andrea Williams is a sound healing practitioner, restorative yoga teacher, and sound artist. For over ten years she has been creating comfortable and compassionate spaces for restoration, creativity, and healing for communities through various modalities including yoga, immersive soundscapes, soundwalks and SleepWalks (soundwalks in people’s dreams) that encourage listening to the world around us and internally to ourselves. Her sound healing sessions and sound baths focus on providing deeply restful rejuvenation and a re-tuning of our bodies with crystal singing bowls, Himalayan metal bowls and gong. She received her 200-hr yoga teacher training and restorative yoga certification from Lauren Toolin at Heartspace Yoga in Troy, NY, holds a certification in Reiki I, and is a member of the Sound Healers Association. www.resonant-beings.com

Sierra Archer was first drawn to yoga during a time of deep healing and fell in love with its ability to shape all aspects of our wellbeing- physical, mental, spiritual. Since then, she has completed 500+ hours of teaching with Lauren Toolin’s Yoga Vidya school in Albany, NY and with Durga’s school of Tantra Yoga and Shamanism in Tumbaco, Equador. Her classes aim to unite breath, movement, and awareness to create a sense of balance and set a space for deeper self exploration. In May 2019, Sierra received her certification in Thai Yoga, a form of bodywork often nicknamed “lazy yoga” in which the practitioner both stretches and massages the client from head to toe, combining massage, yoga, acupressure, and energy healing all into one. She has experienced incredible results from receiving this kind of bodywork and is elated to now be able to offer it others.
