A Note from Nadia
As we round out the end of the year and get into the swing of the holiday season, I invite you to join me for a pause to reflect on what you are most grateful for.
In my personal reflections, I would be remiss if I did not share that I am grateful for all of you and for being part of the community here at HeartSpace. This community of teachers and students has been a big part of my life over the last 13 years. I began my journey as a student who unrolled her mat here for the first time, and followed that journey to where we are today; from student, to yoga teacher trainee, teacher, owner in partnership with Vanessa, and now sole-owner. I view it as a great responsibility and honor to take on stewardship of this space and to build on all that has come before me.
In taking ownership of HeartSpace, so many people’s stories were shared with me of what this space meant to them. Whether it provided a safe harbor in a tumultuous time in their lives, warmth of community when they felt a little alone, or simply a place to get some quiet and consistent practice, so many of us have a HeartSpace story, or perhaps will, if you are new here and haven’t yet come to our studio.
HeartSpace has always represented to me a place of open welcome, community, and an opportunity to get to know yourself, experience joyful movement and discovery. Plus, in a world that is so often caught up with changing yourself to fit in, HeartSpace is a place where you can come as you are! We are going to keep building on that, and commit to offering you quality yoga instruction, a space to build community, and an invitation to be wholly, authentically you. I can’t wait to share what we have in store for you.
May your holiday season for you and yours be healthy, happy, and bright!
In gratitude,
Nadia M. El-Fawal, Studio Owner
